Our Story

I'm a 24 year-old Anishinaabe kwe from the Aamjiwnaang First Nation, located in Canada's Chemical Valley. I've been volunteering to bring awareness to the health and environmental issues resulting from the Chemical Valley. I am an organizer with the group Aamjiwnaang and Sarnia Against Pipelines (ASAP). I also independently travel to publicly speak about environmental racism to classes and community events across the region.

However, organizing requires reliable transportation to meetings in both Aamjiwnaang and Sarnia. We just lost our car that was used to pick up folks who needed rides to gatherings and bringing materials to meetings. A car would also help us to regularly connect to all groups in the surrounding area to continue our build Indigenous solidarity.

Please support our on-the-ground efforts to bring health and environmental issues in our community. To learn more, please visit Aamjiwnaang Grassroots Vehicle
